Cariad Gardens is a small space garden design company based in Bristol, founded by Anne Sharp, a qualified and experienced horticulturalist.

The name Cariad was chosen as it means love in Welsh and one of Anne's main aims is to get people back in love with their gardens and outside spaces. By working together through the planning, design and planting stages, Anne's unique approach means you'll be learning each step of the way. From picking the right plants in the first place to allowing you to proactively keep up the gardening with plant care advice.

In her own words Anne describes her journey into garden design:

"I grew up in South Wales with green-fingered parents.  Even today in their eighties, my parents' balcony is a riot of colour in the summer. My childhood was spent roaming the fields and woods behind our house, fostering my love of plants and nature.

I spent far too many years working in the City but always retreated to my garden whenever I could.  My interest in designing with plants was sparked when we moved to Suffolk to a beautiful old house with a large and cleverly designed garden.  I started to appreciate the effect of using plants in a well thought out way rather than just planting something I liked the look of.

I undertook my first RHS qualification in 2013 and haven't looked back since."
